We are extremely
lucky to have secured the Ku-tee-ya Alaskan
Dance Group
to perform at Wednesday's banqet. Be sure to stick around for
their performance of traditional songs and dances of the Tlingit,
Tsimpshiaan, and Haida Tribes of Southeast Alaska, and Western
British Columbia. Associated with traditional events, or stories,
these songs, and dances are tribal-owned, and performed only by
permission. As in the past, they are performed for social events,
celebrations, weddings, naming ceremonies, potlatches, and totem
raisings.
