READABILITY:
- PLACEMENT-
Keep text on the screen. Try the Six words in a line & Six
lines in a title limit in order to keep your titles centered on
the screen and easy to read.
- SIZE-
To keep titles from being too small to see clearly, it is best
to keep video type at 44 points or larger.
- COLORS-
Avoid pale and earthy colors. Reds tend to smear on the screen.
Blue on Black is difficult to read. Try not to use more than two
colors. Black is a good border for white and yellow
type.

- MATCH

to the mood of the program.
- CENTER
titles for a formal look.
- RIGHT
or LEFT
Justifiy titles for a distinctive look.
- ROLLS
(moving from the bottom of the screen to the top) on solid color
backgrounds are used for long titles and lists.
- CRAWLS
(at the bottom of the screen; moving from right to left is easiest
to read) are used to insert important information on top of live
video.
