JoAnn and Steve Parr are actively involved in Secondary Education as high school teachers in the Bethel School District and enjoy a variety of family recreation activities. Steve teaches vocational Audio-Visual Media at Bethel High School in Spanaway, Washington. JoAnn is an English teacher and Yearbook and Newspaper adviser at Spanaway Lake High School. Spanaway is about 13 miles south of Tacoma, Washington and about 45 miles south of Seattle, Washington. A one hour drive east of Spanaway is Mt. Rainier National Park . The Parrs visit the park often to hike the beautiful trails in the summer and go tubing in the snow in the winter. The Parr's also enjoys visiting the ocean beaches, just a two hour drive away, to jump in the waves, fly kites, and build sandcastles.

Their daughter Elizabeth is a graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Theater. Her day job is as a receptionist and events coordinator at an Seattle engineering firm. Evenings and weekends she is an Actor in independent movies and local theater productions.

Their daughter Melody is a graduate of Ashmead College. She is a licensed Massage Therapist and is a partner in her new business, Equilibrium .

Their daughter Hannah is currently enrolled in Digital Media and Television Production at Bates Technical College. She has won state and national high school awards in photography and video production. Hannah and her Dad have started their own Video Production Company, Switch-It Live.
