Work Habits

Deadlines

Misses preliminary or final deadlines by two or more days

May miss one or two preliminary deadlines, but makes final

Ad Sales

Does not sell required number of ads

Group Skills

Rarely knows what is happening; rarely gives input; pouts/withdraws if group decision goes against personal preferences; has trouble establishing a working relationship with other yearbook staff and/or photographers

Writing headlines, stories, captions

Layout

Does not follow basic design principles and/or section specifications; selects poor quality photos or photos which unfairly represent the student body

Follows basic layout principles and meets page specs; selects good quality photos which generally represent the school and community

Creates aesthetically pleasing layouts that meet page specs; selects technically excellent photos that tell the story fairly and effectively

Students who do not fullfill the requirements of this class will be asked to make a schedule change. The Centurion is a business that handles thousands of dollars each year, and if a student is not carrying his or her workload, he or she will be terminated. A strong work ethic is needed in this production class.
