English 11 course description
English 11 is an integrated class focusing on American literature, history, language and writing skills. Students will be introduced to various types of American literature including short stories, novels, dramas, poetry, and nonfiction. Writing assignments will be given throughout the year, usually focused on the subject, author, or time period we are currently reading about. Oral presentations (speeches, reports, essays, drama scenes etc.) will be presented by both individuals and groups. Students will complete at least one project per quarter.
