TIPS FOR GREAT PHOTOS
1. Always Be Ready! Carry your camera with you. Carrying your camera with you will make you lessconspicuous to potential subjects.
2. Get Close! You cannot be timid or shy. Never be more than 7 feet away from your subject/s with a 50mm lens.
3. Fill The Frame! If your subject/s are taller than wide, hold your camera vertically.
4. Look For Emotion! Actions and reactions that tell a story.
5. Don't Settle For The First Photo You Shoot! Try different angles- worms-eye view, birds-eye view, vertical frame, diagonal frame, etc.
6. Use Natural Lighting! Flash makes harsh shadows and those dreaded white demon eyes!
7. Use A Tripod! When shooting below 1/60th of a second, use a tripod and shutter release or find something to support your camera.
8. Look for repetition of shapes, patterns, and contrasting lights and darks when shooting landscapes and inanimate objects such as buildings, cars, still-lifes.
9. Posed Pictures Look Unnatural! Shoot candid faces and people.
10. Never Take A Picture That Intentionally Embarrasses or Humiliates Someone.
