The Paradise Valley Road tour is the classic tour for beginning skiers at Mt. Rainier. The tour begins from the Paradise parking lot and proceeds three and a half miles down the Paradise Valley Road and the Stevens Canyon Road to Reflection Lakes. It is a round trip of seven miles. It can be shortened if necessary to accommodate the needs of clients. This tour follows a gently sloping roadway which is closed to cars and snowmobiles. To complete the tour requires a bit of endurance, something that can be acquired by long walks in town before the tour date. This tour also has great views of the Mountain and the Tatoosh range. In the winter Reflection Lake has no reflection of the Mountain because it is frozen over with about four to ten feet of snow on top. The consolation is you can ski across it!
