Photos from Edith Creek Loop

The Edith creek loop tour starts at the Paradise parking lot. It follows the Skyline trail up to Glacier Vista and returns to Paradise via Edith Creek Basin. It is about three miles round trip, but can include side trips as interest dictates. This tour gains and then loses about 800 feet in elevation on gentle to moderate slopes . The slopes as you can see from the photos are wide open so traversing is fairly simple. The turnaround point of this tour has a great view of the Nisqually glacier as seen in the bottom photo. The tour also has views of the Tatoosh range (next to bottom photo) and of course Mt. Rainier itself (top photo). This is a good tour for skiers who are ready to leave the beginning area, but do not want to venture into difficult or demanding terrain.
