The Barn Flats tour is through the traditional training ground of beginning skiers at Mt. Rainier. It is an area that has relatively flat terrain, but also contains a few small hills. This area is a half mile in length, about an eighty acre area with open glades and gentle slopes forested with sub alpine fir. The tour winds through the three distinct sections; Barn Flats, the picnic area and the Narrada falls trail section. It also has a great view of the mountain when visibility permits.
