Photos from Barn Flats

The Barn Flats tour is through the traditional training ground of beginning skiers at Mt. Rainier. It is an area that has relatively flat terrain, but also contains a few small hills. This area is a half mile in length, about an eighty acre area with open glades and gentle slopes forested with sub alpine fir. The tour winds through the three distinct sections; Barn Flats, the picnic area and the Narrada falls trail section. It also has a great view of the mountain when visibility permits. In the photograph below you can see it peering through, as the clouds lift.
