Introduction to Mt. Rainier Guest Services
Welcome to Mt. Rainier Guest Services. Guest Services Inc.
is a public benefit
corporation
dedicated to excellence in food, lodging and leisure services in
government facilities. Guest Services began operating cafeterias,
newsstands and recreational facilities in Washington D.C. in
1917, and today we are a major presence in food service
management, hospitality, recreational and related industries.
Under contract with the National Park Service, Guest Services has
operated the concession facilities in Mt. Rainier National Park
since 1972. It is our mission to provide our guests with the best
possible service and quality to guests of Mt. Rainier National
Park.
Mt. Rainier Guest Services operates a variety of facilities, including the Paradise Inn, the National Park Inn, the Jackson Memorial Visitor Center and the Sunrise Lodge. We have operations in Food and Beverage, Fine Dining, Housekeeping, Retail, Fast Food and Snack Bar. During the winter we also employ a cross-country ski instructor.
Mt. Rainer Guest
Services provides prospective employees with a rich wonderland of
glaciers, hiking trails, spectacular views and wildlife. Fishing
is permitted without a license. Snowbaording is a popular
activity, but mountain biking is not allowed. Employees are even
given the opportunity to climb Mt. Rainier!
Seasonal employment generally strarts around May and ends in October. Employees who complete their contracted work period are rewarded with an end of season bonus. We offer in-park dorm style housing to our employees, and also have 11 full hook-up RV sites out of the park. In-park employees have meals and housing deducted, amounting to $60.00 per week. We hire on staff medical personnel for your safety and security.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2001
