FAREWELL RUSTY SPROATT
THANK YOU FOR 10 YEARS OF LEADERSHIP

For over ten years Mt. Rainier Guest Services has benefited from the leadership of Rusty Sproatt.

Rusty graduated from the University of Arizona in 1974 with a B.A. in Finance. There he was already displaying his leadership potential as the Chapter President of his   fraternity, Phi Delta Theta.

Rusty served his dues in the restaurant industry at the Overland Express Restaurant Corporation as a Broiler,   Bartender, Waiter, and Head Waiter. Rusty learned his trade firsthand by working in every position in the facility.

In 1976 Rusty moved on (and up!) to the St. Mary Lodge & Resort in Glacier National Park in Montana, where he served for three years as the Assistant Manager and the Food and Beverage Manager. Rusty was to return to St.

Mary later, as well.

Rusty made the next big step in 1980 when he was the owner and Operating Manager of     H.Roth and Company. There he developed and managed a 110 seat restaurant in Kalispell, Montana. Rusty maintained all daily bookkeeping, cost    analysis and inventory levels.

In 1982 Rusty returned to St. Mary Lodge. He became the Assistant General Manager and he also served on the Board of Directors, as Corporate  Treasurer, Corporate         Controller, and Director of Food and Beverage Operations. Said of him by his Managing
