Science Investigation Project and Science Fair
What: Science Fair project. All students are going do an investigation and write it up.
As extra credit, students can choose to enter their investigation into the Science Fair. If they choose
to enter the fair, they will need to make a poster board.
Sixth grades student must choose an Earth science subject. Seventh grade students must choose a
Life Science subject. Eight grade students must choose a Physical science subject. Your teachers will be giving examples of what can be done.
Who: any middle school student
When: We will start the process leading to the fair at the beginning of April. Most students will do their investigation and gather the data over the spring break.
The actual Science Fair is scheduled for April 26. (All investigations,
including the people who are not doing the Science Fair, for Mr. King's class
are due a day earlier, April 25).
Where: Commons, 7th period
Student checklist:

- choose topic
- fill out application - a helpful document, but not required
- get application approved by teacher and parent
- helpful, but not required
- gather needed materials
- complete your project
- plan on how to bring your poster board to the Science Fair and how you will get it home
