Plate Tectonics
You will be creating over the next three days three diagrams. The diagrams will have two parts: the picture which is labeled, and the labels (vocabulary words) defined. The subject of the diagrams will be the earth's crust, continental drift, boundary zones, or the earth's interior. You can choose any three out of the four. You can do this with plain copier paper and colored pencils, or you can create a PowerPoint or Impress presentation with six slides or a Word/Writer document with six pages. With any of these programs, you will use Paint/ Draw to create the pictures. Using paper is much easier for most people. Example diagrams can also be found in the textbook on pages 174, 168/169, 178/179, and page 168.
