General Information

Absence policy
It is the responsibility of students to make up work missed during an absence. To make this easier, there is a three ring binder in my classroom marked "Daily Work" which describes what was covered in class for every day. Students should look in this binder to find out what they have missed. Students have one extra day for every day absent to make up work. In other words, if a student is absent two days they have two extra days to make up the work. Missing work must be turned in to receive credit. If there is a family or personal problem which makes making up the work difficult please contact the me. If a vacation is planned, please notify me at least two days in advance.

Discipline policy
These are the classroom rules:

bulletbring all appropriate materials to class


Grading policy
Assignments are given a point value. Point values are translated into percents. The scale is as follows:

bulletA      (93 - 100%)
bulletA-     (90 - 92%)
bulletB+     (87 - 89%)
bulletB       (83 - 86%)
bulletB-      (80 - 82%)
bulletC+     (77 - 79%)
bulletC       (73 - 76%)
bulletC-      (70 - 72%)
bulletD+     (67 - 69%)
bulletD       (60 - 66%)
bulletF        (below 60%)

First and second quarter grades are combined to give the semester grade. Third and fourth quarters are combined to give the second semester grade.
